Course Description: Health Education helps you become more responsible for your personal wellness through the use of practicing appropriate behaviors and making skillful decision-making for yourselves and others. You will be in a positive learning environment that will foster problem solving and skillful decision-making based upon current, ever changing health information.
State law requires that you complete and pass a semester course in Health Education. Our school district meets that requirement through a required ninth grade Health Education class.

Story Monday - think of something you did over the weekend that was fun and exciting and you would like to share with the class
Trivia Tuesday - a random trivia fact that you need to find the answer to. If you find the answer, please don't share it with your class mates
Brain Break Wednesday - let's get our brains going with a fun activity to start class
Grateful Thursday/Mindful Thursday - One a piece of paper, come up with 5 things you are grateful for. Quiet Mindful Meditation which helps to reduce stress, improves concentration, and makes a healthy you!
YouTube Video Friday - a funny, uplifting, meaningful, mindless video that you feel the class would benefit from; if you have a video you'd like to share, please let me know.
About Mrs. Gritt - I have been teaching high school physical education and health education for 15 years. I am married to Mr. Gritt; yes the same Mr. Gritt that works here at PHS. He teaches in the C section; technology education classes. We have 3 children; Adella - 10, Gabe - 8, and Elli - 4. We live in the country on a hobby farm and have horses, chickens, pigs, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, running and and staying active.
